In my opinion, and its not remotely humble, there is only one place for horses in Second Life and thats
Lone Star. Zephyr Pennell who painstakingly crafts these gorgeous equine specimens is a true artist. Her horses are gorgeously textured, proportionally correct, and look real. She has several to choose from that run from her short, fat, rotund Shetland pony to her massively built Gypsy Vanner horse to her rakishly wild Native American ponies. She also offers a New Forest pony, which is a bit more elegant and larger than his Shetland cousin and an American Saddlebred that’s as leggy and refined as his real life counterpart, Each of these come in several colorings and recently she’s added a touch of whimsy in the form of Hank the Horrible. I’m not spilling the beans on Hank…he’s got to be seen to be believed.
Lone Star is conducting a photo contest this month, which makes me consider doing one at Penny’s Pets next month! Anyway, if you’re interested in participating in the contest, IM either me or Zephyr Pennell for info.
